Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Civil Engineering Team Lead for our North Florida offices in Jacksonville or Gainesville. You will lead a growing team of civil, environmental, and water resources engineers, manage multiple projects, and drive business development and client engagement to deliver quality infrastructure and restoration projects.

The ideal candidate has 10–12+ years of environmental or water resources experience, a Florida PE license, strong communication skills, and a track record of leading

Qualifications

• BS in Environmental or Civil Engineering from an accredited college.
• 10-12+ years of environmental or water resources experience.
• Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience managing projects across planning, design, and/or construction.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a growing team of civil, environmental, and water resources engineers.
• Mentor staff to support their growth and professional development.
• Drive metrics for utilization, billing, hiring, safety, backlog, and project financials.
• Support market expansion strategies in Florida, especially Gainesville and Jacksonville.
• Develop proposals and engage clients to identify new business opportunities.
• Serve as primary client contact and build long-term relationships.
• Oversee projects from inception to completion, including scope, schedule, and budget.
