Parkhill in Amarillo, TX seeks a Civil Engineering student for a part-time, hourly role supporting project engineers with routine design and data collection.

You will assist with calculations, takeoffs, proposals, field data collection, and library maintenance, using CAD and related software.

Formación

• Currently enrolled in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Student status at an accredited college/university.
• Availability for part-time, hourly position.

Responsabilidades

• Assists with construction phase services as directed by project engineer.
• Assists with checking engineering calculations.
• Assists with quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and basic design calculations.
• Assists in preparing marketing proposals.
• Assists in collecting field data and test samples.
• Assists in maintaining the technical library.
• Performs routine filing and delivery of documents.
• Proficient in the use of computers, computer aided design and other relevant software and hardware tools.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Overview

Under close supervision, performs routine tasks requiring knowledge offundamental engineering, mathematical and construction concepts.Provides support to engineers, CADD supervisor, or project team in thepreparation of graphic materials, design sketches, study materials andpermit applications. This is a part-time, non-exempt position paid on an hourly basis.
