Job description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager with 8+ years of related experience in civil site development, preferably with project experience in the Puget Sound area. The ideal candidate will hold a P.E. license in Washington State and bring extensive experience managing complex, multi-phased site development projects for sectors such as K-12 and Higher Education. This role requires a candidate who can work directly with clients, architects, and jurisdictions and take full ownership of projects from initial concepts through design, permitting, and construction coordination.

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing technical design, coordinating permitting strategies, managing project budgets and schedules, and maintaining strong client relationships. Projects will span a variety of sectors, including K-12 and Higher Education Facilities, Healthcare, Commercial and Office developments, Municipal, and more.

This position is a full-time hybrid role that offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package. Candidates applying must have the ability to commute to our downtown Seattle office a minimum of three times per week and to job sites as needed.

At Jacobson Consulting Engineers, we take pride in our innovative, sustainable designs that prioritize the environment, resulting in resourceful and cost-effective solutions. Our dedicated team members work collaboratively on a diverse project portfolio spanning K-12 and higher education institutions, municipal, healthcare, and high-tech corporate campus projects. We foster a team-focused, encouraging workplace looking to provide opportunities for all staff to grow into their desired roles.

We engage as committed partners with our clients throughout the lifespan of every project, including collaborating on sensitive area mitigation measures, developing implementation plans, and conducting comprehensive reviews of environmental, zoning, permitting, utility, and transportation issues. We encourage a collaborative workplace where staff continually develop their skills and advance in their careers.

As a relatively young firm, we are committed to promoting diversity and providing equal opportunities for all. Our vision is to recruit, interview, and hire talented individuals from diverse backgrounds, creating a workplace free from biases related to race, religion, or economic background. We believe that as our company expands, we will increasingly reflect the rich diversity of the region we call home. We actively seek candidates of all experiences, skill sets, and backgrounds to join us in shaping a work environment where inclusion and multiplicity are fundamental to our core values.
