Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in engineering, particularly in complex projects.
  • Proficient in site layout, grading, and stormwater management.
  • PE licensure in Virginia or ability to obtain within 6 months.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Responsibilities

    Serve as Engineer of Record and support preparation of land development design and permitting documents for Solar and BESS development projects.
  • Prepare and review drawings and specifications documenting the systems design
  • Responsible for project financial performance and routine client communications
  • Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, stakeholders and community members to discuss project design and permitting issues
  • Manage work and professional development of junior-level staff
  • Manage small, medium, and large projects
  • Develop new project opportunities and assist with proposal development and submissions

Skills and Attributes

  • Experienced with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, MS Office. ArcGIS skills desirable.
  • Skills to implement the integrated services approach. Comprehensive understanding of design, details, and construction drawing preparation including site layout, grading, erosion control and stormwater management.
  • Knowledge of land development construction, construction materials and detailing. Detail drawings, sections, and material specifications
  • Project research and analysis
  • Strong, creative engineering skills and ability to adhere to office standards
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to multitask, think critically and attention to detail
  • Excels at working in a team environment
  • Exhibits strong leadership skills and growth potential
  • Has interest in growing business development skills

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering or related degree
  • 8+ years of increasing engineering experience on complex projects
  • PE licensure in Virginia or obtain within 6 months
  • Proficient in site layout, grading, and stormwater management
  • Experience in developing and compiling/producing site plans, construction documents, specifications, and engineering reports
