Southern California Edison in Pomona, CA, seeks a Civil Engineering (Land Development) Manager to lead a team handling land development and site civil support for transmission lines, substations, and rights-of-way. You will oversee grading, drainage, permitting, and vendor coordination to deliver safe, cost-effective infrastructure.

The role requires PE credentials, extensive project leadership, and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and utility-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of combined experience performing or supervising engineering work.
• Experience in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments.
• California PE license in Civil Engineering, or ability to obtain via comity.
• Experience leading civil engineering teams and mentoring engineers.
• Civil land-development or site-development experience including grading, drainage, hydrology, stormwater, erosion control, access roads, paving, or utility coordination.
• Experience supporting electric utility transmission, substation, distribution, rights-of-way, or large infrastructure projects.
• Experience coordinating with agencies and permitting authorities (CEQA, stormwater).
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and related civil engineering software.

Responsabilités

• Leads engineering initiatives to develop grid strategies and how the grid is planned, designed, operated, and maintained.
• Develops a project portfolio management system to prioritize projects and monitor performance.
• Evaluates new technologies to improve cost efficiency and sustainability of site initiatives.
• Establishes relationships with external partners, vendors, and contractors for project delivery.
• Coaches engineering teams to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Develops and implements strategies, safety programs, and constructability practices.
• Manages contract engineers to ensure design quality, milestones, and cost control.
• Leads design and implementation of equipment upgrades for safety and reliability.
• Sets goals for the team and translates senior management objectives into actionable tasks.
• Protects sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct.
