Job summary

Southern California Edison in Rosemead, CA seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to shape grid planning, design, operation, and modernization by translating strategy into large engineering programs and capital projects. You will lead engineering teams, set priorities, manage risk and resources, and drive projects from strategy through execution.

This hybrid role requires 5+ years of leadership in engineering and a Professional Engineer’s License, with up to 20% travel.

Qualifications

Five+ years of experience supervising a team or managing projects.
Experience performing engineering work in operations, production, construction or maintenance.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Professional Engineer’s License.
Knowledge of regulations, codes, standards and advanced engineering principles.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering and business initiatives to develop grid strategies and capital projects.
Prioritize the engineering roadmap in collaboration with departments and improve execution efficiency.
Lead and support the project engineering group and ensure delivery of small to large scale projects.
Manage execution performance, identify barriers and prioritize work to meet scope and budget.
Review plans, allocate resources, assess risk, and ensure timely delivery within budgets.
Drive digitalization and automation to improve processes and outcomes.
Maintain a robust risk management strategy for projects.
Translate corporate strategy into actionable initiatives and delegate roles.
