KPFF Los Angeles invites energetic Civil Engineering interns to join our teams that tackle site development, grading, drainage, and utilities under the guidance of experienced engineers. You will contribute to design tasks and documentation while learning through real project involvement.

This role emphasizes hands-on field work, data collection, and coordination with contractors, along with exposure to stormwater planning and permitting processes.

Qualifications

• Intern in Civil Engineering, juniors or above, including master's students.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Willing to visit job sites and work in field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project design and development: contribute to civil design projects under supervision.
• Prepare engineering calculations and documentation using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Conduct site visits and field investigations to collect data and monitor progress.
• Support project coordination and scheduling, maintain documentation, and assist with permits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, interact with contractors and vendors.
• Research and stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
• Prepare Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan and ensure compliance with regulations.
