Job summary

Olsson’s Traffic & Technology team offers hands-on internship opportunities for civil engineering students in Oklahoma City or Tulsa. You will create traffic plans using CAD, contribute to signals and roundabouts projects, and assist with traffic operations studies.

Travel to job sites may be required to observe field conditions. As an intern, you’ll collaborate with engineers, gain practical experience, and contribute to community-oriented projects while developing your technical and

Qualifications

Strong communication skills.
Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Pursuing a degree in civil engineering.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Perform meaningful, hands-on traffic design work that applies classroom knowledge to real projects.
Use CAD software to create plans and perform traffic design work related to signals, roundabouts, pavement marking, signing, and temporary traffic control.
Get opportunities to be involved with traffic operations and signal timings, safety, or pedestrian circulation studies.
Depending on the project, travel to a job site for field observation.
