Job summary

MacKay is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for summer 2027 in Lake Oswego, OR. The 10- to 12-week internship offers hands-on experience across water resources, land development, municipal, and other civil engineering areas. You will work with experienced engineers, learn to review plans, and develop practical design skills using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential. Applicants should be enrolled in an accredited civil engineering program and maintain a minimum GPA

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a civil engineering or related program.
Minimum cumulative GPA 3.2 (or equivalent).
Strong interest in pursuing a career in civil engineering.
Willingness to learn and contribute to real projects.

Responsibilities

Develop practical experience in resolving engineering problems and applying standards.
Review and interpret plans, site layouts, and specifications for compliance and safety.
Gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D on real projects.
Meet deadlines and communicate effectively within a team environment.
Prepare engineering designs and cost estimates for project portions.
