Job summary

ATCS is seeking Civil Engineering Interns for our 2027 Summer Internship Program. These full-time, hybrid roles will be based on-site for selected teams, with mentorship and hands-on exposure to real-world projects.

Interns will assist engineers, prepare design documents, collect and analyze data, and support project teams while developing essential technical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering required or in progress.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills expected.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite required.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and staff in project support and documentation.
• Use CAD software to prepare engineering and design documents.
• Collect, prepare and analyze data for projects.
• Collaborate with team members to drive projects forward.
• Provide general administrative support to keep projects on track.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

ATCS is gearing up for our 2027 Summer Internship Program!

We are looking for hard working, motivated Civil Engineering Interns companywide. These internships will be full-time, hybrid roles for the on-site roles for the 2027 summer.

We expose our interns to a variety of technical and administrative tasks, allowing you to be involved with several facets of various projects. The goal is to provide exposure to real world projects, as well as mentorship opportunities working alongside our talented employees.

Duties:

• Assist engineers and engineering staff in various project support roles
• Using computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents
• Assist in collecting, preparing, and analyzing data
• Collaborate effectively with team members
• General administrative support is required to drive projects forward
• Perform any additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering
• Previous internship experience preferred but not required
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Exposure to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Microstation is a PLUS
