Job summary

RS&H in Richmond, VA seeks a Civil Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience on transportation projects. You will be mentored by senior engineering associates and collaborate on conventional and design-build tasks that blend roadway design with technical standards.

This internship offers exposure to data collection, CAD tasks, and plan preparation while developing communication and teamwork skills within a leading multidisciplinary firm.

Qualifications

We currently seek a Civil Engineering Intern in our Richmond, VA office.The Civil Engineering Intern will be mentored by and collaborate with the top Engineering associates on our team. The selected candidate will work with associates assisting on a variety of conventional and design-build projects that combine innovative roadway design with a strong knowledge of technical standards to exceed client expectations and provide cost-effective solutions. This is an amazing opportunity to gain hands-on experience and a better understanding of the Transportation Engineering Industry.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET -accredited university

• Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously
• Strong work ethic aligning with the company’s mission and core values

Preferred Qualifications

• 2.5 GPA or above
• Prior internship or related experience
• AutoCAD and/or Microstation experience
• Specific interest in Transportation/Roadway Design
