Job summary

Carlson Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to assist in the design of large and small retail projects from conception through construction.

The Intern will work with our Professional Design Team on design, permitting, coordination, and field visits. AutoCAD experience and the ability to read site plans are required; travel to job sites is expected and travel expenses are covered.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Civil Engineering degree and available for internship.
• AutoCAD experience (1–2 years preferred).
• Travel to field sites; travel expenses covered.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to communicate with clients and team members.
• Able to work on multiple projects and stay on feet for long periods.
• Ability to read and interpret site plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design of retail projects from conception through construction.
• Coordinate design with project team and clients.
• Assist with permitting and field measurements.
• Document field observations and assist in report preparation.
