Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Site/Civil department in the Orlando, FL office, working on a variety of projects for commercial and government clients.

We provide hands-on experience in grading, roadway design, stormwater systems, and construction plan development. Candidates pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office skills, plus strong communication and teamwork, are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering.
• Previous internship experience is preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Site/civil development tasks including grading and roadway design; stormwater management and erosion control design.
• Prepare calculations, reports, and spreadsheets as part of design work.
• Collaborate with design teams to develop detailed construction documents.
• May conduct code research and assist with permitting processes.
