Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking Engineering students for a Summer 2027 internship in Woodstock, Georgia. The role focuses on civil engineering design, planning, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects, with hands-on experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel and more.

You will learn one or more software programs and contribute to multidisciplinary teams, while gaining exposure to federal, state, and local regulations and Kimley-Horn’s standards.

Qualifications

• Pursuing ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelor's or Master's).
• Majors include Civil/Environmental Engineering.
• Other eligible majors: Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
• Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver client visions.
• Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations and company practices.
• Interns will learn software programs specific to their disciplines: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS.
