Job summary

Egis is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to support roadway, bridge and traffic projects in Texas. You will assist with plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates under the supervision of a Project Manager, and participate in site visits to gain practical, hands-on experience.

This seasonal internship welcomes students pursuing a BSCE, with CAD workflows, documentation management, and collaboration across teams while developing professional communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to graduate within 1–2 years with a BSCE in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain one prior to graduation.
• Experience with CADD software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform roadway, bridge and traffic engineering design under the direction of an experienced Project Manager.
• Work with the project team to develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits and perform other generally accepted responsibilities associated with the position.
• Manage and maintain project documentation.
• Assist project engineers and project managers with assignments as needed.
