Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Greenville, SC is seeking an Engineering Intern to support standard engineering tasks across multiple markets. You will assist with design tasks, data entry, documentation, and preparation of presentations under guidance from lead engineers.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or a related field, with ABET accreditation preferred, strong communication and problem solving, and involvement in campus or community activities. GPA 3.0 preferred.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field required.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, eager to learn and capable of growth within the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to project concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns and propose recommendations.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
