Strong communication, problem solving, and leadership are highly valued. Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred; ABET accreditation preferred; current enrollment in related post-secondary programs is required.

Qualifications

  • Pursuit of bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from a recognized, accredited program.
  • ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
  • Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education and/or technical certificate program in a field related to the work done in the department.
  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
  • Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
  • Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with tasks requiring standard engineering techniques and procedures (design, corrections, updates).
  • Assist lead engineers with project duties and ad hoc tasks.
  • Prepare and present solutions to project concerns; research solutions and analyze data.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and data collection.
  • Support with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation, and PowerPoint presentations.
