Job summary

MKEC is seeking Civil Engineering Interns for our Wichita, Kansas location (in office). You will assist with the design of projects across Land Development, Public Works, or Transportation and gain hands-on experience under licensed engineers.

The internship emphasizes learning AutoCAD and Civil 3D, collaborating with project teams, and understanding full design processes from start to finish. Candidates actively pursuing an engineering degree with strong communication are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing an engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Exposure to AutoCAD, Civil3D, and/or Microstation is preferred.
• Strong desire to be part of a team-oriented culture.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Gain diverse experience by working on a variety of real-world civil projects.
• Learn and use AutoCAD and Civil 3D on project tasks.
• Collaborate with licensed engineers, PMs, and designers.
• Learn the full design process from start to finish.
• Assist the project team in meeting client expectations and schedules.
