Job summary

SEH is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our civil team in Omaha, NE. You will gain hands-on experience on municipal roadway and utility projects, both in the field and in the office, under the guidance of experienced engineers.

You will draft project information using AutoCAD, participate in construction observation, surveying, and design tasks, and collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients. This internship opens opportunities for mentorship and real-world impact.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Available to work from the Omaha, NE office during the 2026-2027 academic year.
• Able and willing to report to the Omaha, NE office several times per week during the school year and full-time in the summer.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Completed or currently enrolled in engineering-related coursework.
• Interested in municipal engineering and/or land development projects.

Responsibilities

• Join a collaborative, close-knit team working on municipal roadway and utility projects in the field and office.
• Support field staff with on-site construction observation, surveying, and staking.
• Assist project managers and engineers with project development and design tasks, maintaining communication with staff and clients.
• Accurately draft project information using AutoCAD and related software.
