Job summary

HNTB is launching an 8-week internship program in Dallas/Plano for freshmen and sophomores interested in civil engineering and transportation infrastructure. Interns gain hands-on learning, professional development, and collaboration with industry professionals while supporting engineering teams.

The program is in-person at Dallas or Plano offices and relocation housing are not provided. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited engineering program and currently be in good academic standing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
• Understands engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles at a basic level.
• Shows proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations.
• Ability to organize information for use in drawings or other documents.

Responsibilities

• Assists engineer teams in various tasks and duties.
• Assists Engineer with research, development and design of projects.
• Assists Engineer with the preparation of engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
