AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to be based in Waterloo, IA or Des Moines, IA. This internship is expected to begin in May 2027 and will provide a hands-on learning experience across civil engineering projects.

Interns will be mentored, gain exposure to fieldwork and design tasks, and develop essential skills for a professional career in engineering. The program requires pursuing a relevant bachelor's degree and completion of at least one year of study.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Construction Management with at least one year of study completed.
• Recent graduates may apply if continuing with a Master's degree.
• Interest in pursuing advanced degree after internship.

Responsibilities

• Introduce and build essential hands-on skills in civil projects.
• Provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within the field of study.
• Assist with project tasks and site visits as assigned.
