SEH invites you to join our employee-owned civil engineering team in Omaha, NE as a Civil Engineering Intern. You will gain hands-on experience across construction observation, surveying, and design, working with seasoned professionals both in the field and office.

This internship offers mentorship, real-world project exposure, and opportunities to contribute to municipal roadway and utility projects, with a path toward licensure and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Civil Engineering or related degree.
• Available to work from the Omaha, NE office during the 2026-2027 academic year.
• Willing to report to the Omaha, NE office several times per week during the school year and full-time in the summer.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Completed or currently enrolled in engineering-related coursework.
• Interested in municipal engineering and/or land development projects.

Responsibilities

• Join a collaborative, close-knit team on municipal roadway and utility projects.
• Assist field staff with on-site construction observation, surveying, and staking.
• Assist project managers and engineers with project development and design tasks, maintaining clear communication with staff, contractors, and clients.
• Draft project information using AutoCAD and related software.
