Job summary

CobbFendley is seeking Summer 2027 Interns & Graduate Engineers for our Austin office. The roles involve supporting project managers and engineers, performing civil design, and preparing drawings and estimates for varied projects.

Qualifications include enrollment in Civil engineering programs or a Civil Engineering degree, E.I.T. plans, and strong organizational skills. In-person work and field site visits are required.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited Civil or other engineering program for the internship.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program for the Graduate Engineer position.
• Plans to pursue E.I.T. certification and proof of passed FE exam preferred for Graduate Engineer.
• Entry Level experience in civil engineering design and plan production in Civil 3D for Graduate Engineer.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Motivated to learn in a dynamic environment with short deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and engineering support to multiple employees within the organization.
• Support CobbFendley Project Managers and Engineers with engineering design tasks for various projects.
• Perform civil engineering design, design calculations, analysis, and field visits.
• Prepare civil drawing packages, specifications, bill of materials, and estimates according to project scope and schedule.
• Assist Project Manager in providing project engineering design and task management for assigned projects.
• Work with Project Manager to identify and resolve conflicts, ensuring compliance with client policies and applicable codes.
• Utilize multiple software solutions to maximize effectiveness and efficiency of services.
• Travel to project sites and other CobbFendley offices as required.
