HRG in State College, PA is seeking an Engineering Intern (Civil) to gain hands-on experience supporting real-world projects within a dedicated service group. You will explore municipal & water resources, site design, water & wastewater, and transportation practices while contributing to meaningful assignments.

No prior professional experience is required; you’ll collaborate with mentors, build foundational skills, and grow through ongoing learning opportunities and project exposure.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in engineering or a related field.
• No prior professional experience is required; coursework or internship is a plus.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to quality.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with the team.
• Proficient with common business platforms such as Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting tools, and project management systems.
• Willingness to travel to job sites and other offices; overnight stays may be required.
• Valid US driver's license and legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic tasks in the design and development of engineering projects under supervision.
• Gather and organize project data including code requirements and industry standards.
• Support data collection, field inspections, and preparation of technical documentation.
• Use standard office and engineering software to support project activities.
• Ensure accuracy and quality in assigned tasks.
• Suggest ideas to improve project efficiency and organization.
