Job summary

Goodwyn Mills Cawood, LLC (GMC) seeks an Engineering Intern (The Citadel) to support ongoing projects in our Charleston, SC office. This internship provides hands-on experience in preparing reports, site plans, permit documents, and construction schedules while collaborating with managers and engineers.

Minimum qualifications include pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and working knowledge of AutoCAD; Civil3D experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited university
Proficient in AutoCAD; Civil3D experience is preferred
A/E or EPC experience a plus
EIT certificate a plus

Responsibilities

Apply technical skills to routine projects with minimal supervision
Direct technicians for production of engineering documents for routine projects accurately and efficiently
Execute cross discipline checks and coordination
Review complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance
Assist with learning the needs of assigned clients
Represent the firm in all aspects of projects and assignments to prospective employees, clients, and the communities we serve
Continually participate in Individual Development planning and programs
