Job summary

Goodwyn Mills Cawood, LLC (GMC) is seeking an Engineering Intern (Clemson University) to support projects across Charleston, Columbia, and Greenville, SC. This internship provides hands-on experience preparing reports, site plans, permit documents, and construction schedules while working with engineers who mentor your development.

The role includes field and office work with up to 20% travel, and collaboration across disciplines to deliver quality project outcomes and uphold professional ethics.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD; Civil3D experience preferred.
• A/E or EPC experience a plus.
• Foundations of Engineering Certificate (EIT) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical skills to routine projects with minimal supervision.
• Direct technicians for production of engineering documents for routine projects accurately.
• Execute cross discipline checks and coordination.
• Review project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
• Assist in learning the needs of assigned clients and understand professional ethics.
• Work across disciplines and offices to utilize firm knowledge and mentor others.
