Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers in Portland, OR is offering a Civil Engineering Intern - 2027 (Finance) internship. The program runs May–August with a hybrid schedule: in the office 3 days per week after onboarding and up to 2 remote days, or full-time on-site if preferred.

You will use Civil 3D with guidance from licensed engineers, gain hands-on experience, and participate in the intern training program and lunch-and-learns. Compensation is $25/hour, with overtime eligibility and benefits mentioned.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BSCE program at the junior or senior level.
• Available for the full 3-month internship.
• Able to work full-time (40 hours/week, Monday-Friday).
• Pay: $25/hour.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work well both independently and in a team.
• Organized and good at managing time.

Responsibilities

• Use Civil 3D to design and prepare plans with guidance from PEs, EITs, and designers.
• Conduct site visits and research to support project development.
• Collaborate with engineers on civil and surveying tasks.
• Participate in internship training and learning sessions.
