Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers in Eugene, OR, is offering a 2027 Summer Internship Program in Civil Engineering. Interns will design with Civil 3D, perform research, and visit on-site projects, under the guidance of PEs, EITs, and Civil Designers.

The internship runs May-August or June-September, with a hybrid schedule: in-office 3 days per week, up to 2 remote days. Pay is $25/hour, overtime $37.50. Applicants must be enrolled in BSCE, junior/senior, full-time 40 hours/week, ready to learn.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BSCE program at junior or senior level.
• Available for the full 3-month internship.

Job Description

We’re looking for awesome students to join our 2027 Summer Internship Program in Eugene, OR! Our internships run May-August or June-September (we’ll work with your school schedule). This is your chance to jump in, get hands‑on, and see what it’s really like to work as part of a civil engineering team.

From day one, you’ll be using Civil 3D with support from our PE’s, EIT’s, and Civil Designers who are excited to help you learn the ropes. You’ll get to design, create plans, do research, and head out on site visits—no coffee runs here. Along the way, you’ll also take part in our Intern Training Program, attend KPFF-U learning sessions, and join vendor lunch‑and‑learns (yes, free food + learning!).

Our office operates on a hybrid schedule—you’ll be in the office 3 days per week (after onboarding), with the option to work remotely up to 2 days. Prefer to be in the office every day? That works too!

Qualifications

We’re looking for students who are ready to learn, collaborate, and grow:

• Currently enrolled in a BSCE program at the junior or senior level, focusing on civil engineering


• Available for the full 3-month internship


• Able to work full-time (40 hours/week, Monday–Friday)


• Pay: $25/hour


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Able to work well both independently and in a team


• Organized and good at managing time

Compensation

• Hourly Pay:$25.00per hour


• Overtime Eligibility: Interns are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over 40/week at $37.50/hour
