Job summary

Bowman in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for summer 2027. You will work under supervision on traffic studies, water, storm and sanitary sewer studies, and construction site plans.

You'll assist with CAD design, erosion control, and field inspections while learning a full range of civil engineering tasks. Responsibilities include assisting with project scope, construction administration, and coordinating with multiple departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent commensurate experience required.
• Enrolled in community college courses, a college degree program, or formal continuing education program.
• Focus on civil engineering or related discipline is strongly preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must hold a valid state driver's license and successfully pass a motor vehicle check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of project scope including site grading, erosion & sediment control design, CAD design and drafting, storm water management design, water treatment, traffic analysis and/or utility design.
• Assist with field inspections.
• Observe and participate in construction administration (RFI/Submittal) responsibilities.
