Bowman invites you to join our civil engineering team in Tempe, Arizona for a summer internship in 2027. You will gain hands-on experience supporting traffic studies, water and sewer planning, site and roadway design, and construction documentation under close supervision.

This role emphasizes learning, collaboration with multiple departments, field inspections, CAD drafting, and professional development within a supportive environment that values mentorship and real project impact.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent commensurate experience required.
• Enrolled in community college courses, a college degree program, or formal continuing education program.
• Focus on civil engineering or related discipline is strongly preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must hold a valid state driver's license and successfully pass a motor vehicle check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with traffic studies, site grading, and roadway plans.
• Assist CAD design and drafting, storm water management design, and utility design.
• Support field inspections and construction administration activities.
• Learn under supervision and follow established procedures.

Education
