Job summary

HNTB invites motivated students to join its 2027 Summer Internship Program across Austin, Round Rock and San Antonio. Interns will assist engineering teams in construction, rail, transit, roadway, structures, traffic and planning projects.

Applicants should be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary engineering program with a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Relocation is not provided and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
• Understanding of engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles at a basic level.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assists engineer teams in various tasks and duties.
• Assists Engineer with research, development and design of projects.
• Assists Engineer with the preparation of engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
