Job summary

SEH is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our civil team and gain hands-on experience on municipal roadway and utility projects. The role combines field observations with design support in the office, under mentorship from experienced engineers.

The internship offers exposure to AutoCAD, surveying, and construction observation across a collaborative, employee-owned culture that values growth and real-world impact in communities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing Civil Engineering or related field
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
• Completed or enrolled in engineering coursework
• Interest in municipal engineering/land development projects
• Experience with basic AutoCAD tasks (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Join a collaborative team on municipal roadway and utility projects
• Assist field staff with on-site construction observation, surveying, and staking
• Support project managers and engineers with development and design tasks
• Draft project information using AutoCAD and related software
• Relate well with staff, contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle
