Job summary

RS&H, Inc. in Fairfax, VA is seeking an Aviation Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Aviation Infrastructure team in-office.

You will gain hands-on experience across airfields, environmental planning, and resiliency projects while collaborating with a team of driven professionals. Ideal candidates are current Civil Engineering students (ABET-accredited) with at least 1 year left, a minimum 2.5 GPA, and strong communication skills, able to balance multiple assignments in a team

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited university with at least 1 year remaining.
• 2.5 GPA or above.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Qualifications

RS&H is currently seeking an Aviation Engineering Intern to join our team. This position will work in-office. As part of the Aviation Infrastructure team, you'll gain great experience on a variety of conventional and design-build projects that combine innovative design with a strong knowledge of technical standards to exceed client expectations and provide cost-effective solutions.

To be successful in this internship, you must:

• Current student pursuing a Bachelor or Master's degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET accredited university with at least 1 year remaining until program completion
• 2.5 GPA or above
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior internship or related experience
• Experience with AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience or exposure to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Advisory Circulars
• Specific interest in Aviation Infrastructure

The pay rate for this position in Virginia ranges from $25 to $30 per hour. However, the selected individual's compensation will be determined based on their specific education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
