Job summary

SEH is seeking a Civil Engineering intern to gain hands-on experience with municipal roadway and utility projects, in-office and on-site in Omaha, NE.

You will support field staff with construction observation, surveying, and staking; assist project managers and engineers with design tasks; and draft project information using AutoCAD and related software, while communicating with staff, contractors, and clients.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Completed or currently enrolled in engineering-related coursework.

Responsibilities

• Assist field staff with on-site construction observation, surveying, and staking.
• Support project managers and engineers with project development and design tasks.

This opportunity is open to candidate residing in the following areas: Omaha, NE Essential Qualifications: Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field Available to work from the office during the 2026-2027 academic year Able and willing to report to the Omaha, NE office several times per week during the school year and full-time in the office during the summer Proficient with Microsoft Office applications Completed or currently enrolled in engineering-related coursework Interested in municipal engineering and/or land development projects Preferred Qualifications: Experience with basic AutoCAD tasks through coursework or prior employment Who We Are Better Places.
