Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students for an internship in Everett, Washington. This on-site role offers exposure to civil and environmental projects and software training from day one.

Interns will learn AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, and more while contributing to regulatory analysis, design, and permitting efforts across multiple projects. Hourly compensation is offered, with a structured mentorship and real-world client deliverables.

Qualifications

• ABE T accredited engineering degree in Civil/Environmental or related fields is expected.
• Currently pursuing an ABET accredited degree (Bachelor's or Master's).
• Majors include Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Biological/Biosystems, Chemical, Agricultural, or Engineering Technology.

• Assist in pre-construction civil design, planning, and permitting for multiple projects.
• Collaborate across disciplines to help realize client visions for the built environment.
• Learn the regulations and the company's practices and standards.

Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for Engineering students to join our Everett, Washington (WA) office! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
• Contribute to the pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.
• Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.
• Interns will learn one or more software programs specific to their disciplines: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS

Qualifications

• In the process of receiving an ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in one of the following majors:
  • Civil and/or Environmental Engineering
  • Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering
  • Engineering Technology

Hourly Rate:$29.00 -$32.00
