Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students to join our Deerfield, Illinois office. This internship is not remote and will involve hands-on use of technical software to analyze, produce, and QC client deliverables.

You will contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis across multiple projects while learning regulations and company standards. Expected salary: $28–$29 per hour.

Qualifications

• In the process of receiving an ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.

• Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.
• Interns will learn one or more software programs specific to their disciplines: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS
