Position: Civil Engineering Design Manager or Office Manager

Established and expanding consulting Civil Engineering firm, based in Central Connecticut since 1962, seeks a highly motivated individual with 10-15 years minimum experience to be Design Manager, or General Manager of our Meriden Office. Potential ownership opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

1. Strong Leadership Skills
2. Significant Design and Project Management experience
3. Broad Technical Background in Transportation: Highway & Bridge, Hydraulics/Water Resources, or Water and Wastewater Engineering
4. Business development and client management experience
5. Municipal and/or CONNDOT design and construction administration experience
6. Excellent oral and written communications skills

Responsibilities will include:

1. Management of Design teams
2. Providing Technical Expertise
3. Business Development
4. Client Management

Requirements:

• B.S. or M.S. Civil Engineering and 15+ years progressive experience in the design and management of civil engineering projects.
• Must have a P.E. license in CT or the ability to obtain license in Connecticut quickly.
• Technical expertise in either Bridge and Highway Design, Water and Wastewater, or Water Resources.
