Job summary

Traylor Building, LLC seeks an Engineer Intern/Co-op for Spring 2027 in Tempe, AZ. The role is an in-person, on-site internship with 40+ hours weekly, supporting underground construction and tunneling projects.

The program runs January–May 2026 with flexibility for start/end dates and relocation covered if needed. Responsibilities include applying engineering and management thinking, safety plan support, site audits, material testing, procurement, and cost reporting.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in Civil, Mechanical, Construction Engineering & Management or related program.
• Has completed sophomore year and can commit to 40+ hours per week.
• AutoCAD experience preferred and helpful.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering and management thinking on site.
• Assist in safety plan development and implementation.
• Conduct site audits and material testing/analysis.
• Perform inventory checks, field tests, and cost analyses.
• Prepare change orders and support production tracking.
• Assist with drawings, estimating, scheduling, and surveying.
