Job summary

City of Kerrville seeks an engineer to support the GIS Coordinator, Project Engineer, and Director of Engineering. The role includes plan/spec reviews for CIP and private development, plus construction inspection and database maintenance.

Ideal candidates have an engineering background, EIT status in Texas, and proficiency in AutoCAD and GIS. Join a team focused on municipal infrastructure and development coordination.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in civil engineering or related field.
Active Texas EIT with 1+ year civil engineering experience preferred.
Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Review plans and specifications for CIP and private development projects for conformance with city standards.
Attend Development Review Committee meetings and coordinate with city staff and applicants.
Update and maintain Engineering Department project databases.
Coordinate and track TxDOT utility and construction permits.
Perform construction inspections as needed.
Scan and log plan reviews, As-Builts, plats, and easements.
Prepare maps and GIS exhibits.
