You will gain hands-on experience in infrastructure design, site supervision, and project management while working with seasoned engineers on road, water, and urban development projects.

The program blends fieldwork with office learning, mentorship, and a clear path toward professional registration.

Qualifications

• Matric certificate with strong Mathematics and Physical Science.
• Demonstrated interest in civil engineering and infrastructure development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work in field conditions.
• Legally eligible to work in South Africa and willing to relocate to Upington area.
• Commitment to completing the apprenticeship and pursuing professional registration.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct site surveys and collect data for engineering projects.
• Support project managers in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Monitor construction activities on site to ensure adherence to design and quality standards.
• Perform basic calculations and analysis for structural and infrastructure projects.
• Assist in the preparation of progress reports and documentation.
• Learn to use relevant civil engineering software and tools.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
