Job summary

A leading civil engineering firm is seeking a Civil Engineer to join the Upington team in the Northern Cape. You will contribute to design, planning and execution of infrastructure projects including roads, water reticulation, and stormwater systems.

The role is site-focused, with regular project-site presence and collaboration with senior engineers and project managers. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant civil infrastructure experience.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD or similar software.
• Knowledge of South African infrastructure standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and planning of civil infrastructure projects (roads, water, sewer, stormwater).
• Conduct site investigations and surveys to gather data.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Oversee construction activities to ensure design compliance and quality.
• Monitor project progress and report on site conditions.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders on technical matters.
• Assist in preparation of tender documents and contract administration.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations on site.
• Troubleshoot engineering challenges during construction.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving.
