Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering graduates to join our Virginia Beach, VA office in 2027. This is not a remote position and offers opportunities to contribute to multiple projects while learning essential design and analysis skills.

You will work with software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS to analyze and QC client deliverables, support permitting, and advance pre-construction planning with collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree expected by Summer 2027.
• Major preferences include civil, environmental, mechanical, electrical, biosystems, chemical or agricultural engineering, or engineering technology.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, produce, and QC deliverables using technical software for clients.
• Contribute to pre-construction civil design, planning, permitting, and analysis.
• Solve complex problems, support project managers, and collaborate across disciplines.
• Learn software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, GIS.
