Kimley-Horn in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking engineering graduates to join our office in 2027. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities include using technical software to analyze and deliver client projects, contributing to civil engineering design and permitting, and collaborating across disciplines to shape future built environments. You’ll learn multiple software programs such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree by Summer 2027.
• Majors include Civil and/or Environmental Engineering.
• Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering.
• Engineering Technology

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize clients’ visions.
• Develop familiarity with regulations and Kimley-Horn’s standards and practices.
• Learn one or more software programs specific to disciplines (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS).
