Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering graduates to join our Terrell, Texas office in 2027. This is not a remote position and provides exposure to civil engineering design and analysis across multiple projects.

As an entry-level engineer, you will learn software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, GIS, and more while contributing to permitting, planning, and design efforts under experienced mentors.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree by Summer 2027
• Majors include Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology
• Ability to learn multiple engineering software programs quickly
• Comfort working in a collaborative, client-focused environment

Responsibilities

• Utilize software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients
• Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, permitting, and analysis
• Assist project managers and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions
• Learn and apply federal, state, and local regulations and company standards
• Develop proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Open Roads, and GIS
