Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to support regulatory decision integration for OSWDF and CWWT facilities. You will work under limited supervision on site characterization, landfill design, land surveying, and civil infrastructure, applying geosynthetics and regulatory compliance expertise.

Requirements include a BS in Civil Engineering with 5 years in waste disposal design, proficiency with Civil3D or MicroStation and Slope/W, and a DOE L clearance or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering and 5 years of experience in waste disposal facility design.
• Understanding of codes and regulations for waste disposal.
• Experience with Civil3D or MicroStation and Slope/W.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• DOE L clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Apply FRNP engineering procedures including test plan development and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with OSWDF subcontractors and review submittals for compliance.
• Analyze civil calculations and data for earthwork, drainage, slope stability, and landfill design.
• Assist procurement with equipment specifications and vendor proposals.
• Prepare technical drawings, evaluations, and bid evaluations.
• Contribute to RFP development and technical bid evaluations.
• Engage with PORTs OSWDF for benchmarking and lessons learned.
• Provide input to weekly progress meetings and cost/schedule updates.
• Participate in safety work groups and design workshops.
