Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Civil Engineer to join our Transportation team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to a variety of exciting projects in the Engineering industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of transportation systems, with a focus on roadway geometric design. This position requires a solid understanding and practical experience with software tools such as PowerGeopak, OpenRoads, and MicroStation. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of transportation design.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the design and planning of transportation projects, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and project deadlines.
  • Utilize software tools such as PowerGeopak, OpenRoads, and MicroStation for transportation design and analysis.
  • Conduct detailed roadway geometric design and develop comprehensive transportation plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, planners, and designers to develop integrated solutions.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and design documents.
  • Ensure all designs and projects comply with local and national engineering standards and codes.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide expert inputs on transportation design and planning.
  • Conduct site visits, assessments, and inspections as necessary.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing expertise and promoting professional growth.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation design and planning.
  • Proven experience with transportation design software tools such as PowerGeopak, OpenRoads, and MicroStation.
  • Strong knowledge of roadway geometric design.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex engineering concepts and designs to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of local and national engineering standards and codes related to transportation design.
  • Ability to conduct site visits, assessments, and inspections as necessary.
  • Willingness to mentor and guide junior engineers.
