OneEnergy Renewables in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Development Civil Engineer to provide dedicated civil engineering support for Community Solar and pre-NTP development. The role emphasizes early involvement in permitting and collaboration with developers and third-party firms to ensure buildable site designs.

You will handle stormwater management input, site layout constraints, and discretionary permit exhibits, and review geotechnical/wetland reports to mitigate risk.

Qualifikationen

• BS degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 3+ years of professional civil engineering experience with stormwater management and erosion control design.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD.
• Experience preparing or reviewing stormwater management and site permitting exhibits for discretionary permit submissions (e.g., Special Use Permits, Conditional Use Permits).
• Experience interpreting geotechnical and wetland delineation reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities across markets and jurisdictions.
• Willingness to contribute to a collaborative culture and travel as needed.

Aufgaben

• Prepare conceptual and preliminary stormwater management and Special Use Permit exhibits for Community Solar and other pre-NTP projects.
• Provide early civil engineering input on site layout and constraints, including grading, drainage, and stormwater feasibility.
• Serve as internal technical resource for developers on civil and stormwater questions with third-party firms.
• Review geotechnical and wetland delineation reports to support buildable designs.
• Build out stormwater and permitting reference material for priority jurisdictions.
• Prepare technical exhibits and provide meeting support for discretionary permit hearings and reviews.
• Provide high-level stormwater and civil design summaries for sale and diligence conversations.
• Coordinate with construction-tracked civil engineering staff to hand off projects at Notice to Proceed.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers to achieve feasible design with minimal iterations.
• Support delivery-tracked civil engineering scope as workload requires.
• Attend community, county, township, watershed meetings with project developers.
