Job summary

NTH Consultants, Ltd. is seeking a Civil Engineer to advance site design for solar energy projects in Michigan. You will contribute to contract documents, design calculations, and field reviews, collaborating with a team to deliver high-quality civil solutions.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in solar/BESS site development, AutoCAD proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering exam or EIT; professional licensure in MI preferred.
• 3+ years of solar energy and/or BESS site development experience required.
• Strong communication and ability to work in team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review contract documents, designs, and specifications for civil projects.
• Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, plans, technical specs, and reports.
• Work on construction sites performing review activities.
• Assess feasibility and soundness of site civil features.
• Prepare site design calculations and lead project team.
• Perform engineering analyses using software and manual methods.
• Develop design details and specify construction materials.
• Coordinate quality control on-site and review daily field reports.
