Job summary

LPD Engineering, a Seattle-based civil engineering firm, seeks a mid-level Civil Engineer (5-9 years) to support a diverse portfolio across Western Washington. You will lead site development tasks, coordinate with clients, and manage project delivery with senior staff guidance.

The role emphasizes ownership, technical excellence, and opportunities to contribute to business development while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in civil engineering from an accredited university.
• Five to nine years of progressively responsible civil site development experience.
• Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater management, and site development design.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support site planning, grading, drainage, utilities, and other infrastructure design.
• Develop and review civil plans and construction documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Coordinate with permitting requirements and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Support project delivery from planning through closeout and perform field observations.
• Provide QA/QC of work prepared by junior staff and mentor teammates.
