Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Civil Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team in Omaha. You will produce civil designs for mixed-use, commercial, educational, sports, hospitality and municipal projects, and contribute to site development efforts throughout project development.

The role emphasizes collaboration with architects and clients, strong technical skills with Civil 3D, and independent civil calculations, with PE licensure preferred and experience in A/E firms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE).
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience focused on site development.
• Experience in an A/E or Civil Engineering design firm.
• Knowledge of integrated design processes and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients as part of the design process.
• Design, coordinate and prepare site development documents using Civil 3D across diverse projects.
• Perform complex assignments and civil calculations, including code research.
• Prepare engineering reports, narratives and permitting applications.
• Write and review specifications and review construction shop drawings.
